Notes: Shakespeare’s language, as relevant today as it was in Elizabethan England, comes to life when spoken aloud, not read off the page. Come join this 3-session workshop, and participate in the acting of Shakespeare! By exploring the rhythms, rhetorical devices, and historical context of his plays, his wonderfully complex and human characters come to life through the actor. Ages 14 and up. If you are new to Shakespeare, be prepare to fall in love! And if you have experience, be prepared to take it to a deeper level. This workshop is free however space is limited. Please note that participants must attend all three workshop sessions. The workshop will be led by Susan Angelo, actress-director, and Shakespeare scholar from Los Angeles.
