Musical Creative Drama: Dare to Dream Jr.
Entering grades 1st-2nd
Camp: Monday, June 1st - Saturday, June 6th, 9am-4pm | Performance: Saturday, June 6th at 2:30pm
What do you dream about becoming? Step into the shoes of a Disney Imagineer-in-training and help create a world full of wonder, teamwork, and possibility! Featuring songs from Encanto, Frozen II, The Princess and the Frog, and more, this week is filled with movement, music, and imaginative storytelling, with students also serving as junior ensemble members in the 3-8 grade Performance Workshop of Dare to Dream Jr!
This program is designed for all students-whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! This class is perfect for students who want to try something new, get creative, and have a blast-whether it is their first theatre class or their fiftieth!
What You Will Learn
• Learn lyrics and choreography to perform a variety of musical numbers
• Become a character and play pretend with and in front of others
• Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body, voice, imagination, and concentration
• How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
• Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
• A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
• Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
• Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback
What to Bring
• Students should bring a water bottle, a non-perishable lunch, AND a snack each day. Please ensure all items are nut-free.

Extended Care
• Extended Care is available Monday-Friday from 4:00-5:30pm for an additional $30/week
• Extended care is not available on Saturday
Presentation Day
• A culminating final performance for friends and family is on Saturday, June 6 at 2:30pm
• Each student will get two complementary tickets for the performance included in their registration. Additional tickets can be purchased through the Villages Entertainment for $15.
